James Auger's carnivorous household robots are powered by fuel cells that digest flies and pests they catch.


The lightshade robot attracts flies which fall into the fuel cell. The fuel cell powers the LEDs to attract more flies.

The mousetrap coffee table lures mice to its trap. Once caught it digests them to power the trap mechanism.

The UV fly killer lures flies with light, zaps them and uses their juice to power the device to catch more flies.
