Tokyo U's baseball bot uses 2 cameras capturing 1000 images per second to hit balls out of the lab.


Tokyo University's Professor Masatosi Ishikawa set up cameras on either side of the batter to capture images every millisecond.

A custom CMOS chip was designed to capture 512x512 images at this speed.

The same technology was used to design a text scanner capable of reading 250 pages per minute.
