1909 GPS: the Jones Live-Map gave drivers directions on a rotating trip disk connected to the car's odometer.
An early equivalent of GPS navigation, the Live-Map was invented in 1909 by J.W. Jones.
Interchangeable trip discs containing turn by turn instructions were mounted on a turntable driven by the odometer.
The Touring Club of America produced the discs.
