You can eat more than 5 Big Macs in India for the price of one in Norway.

The Big Mac index is based on the theory of purchasing-power parity, in which exchange rates should equalise the price of a basket of goods across countries.

The Economist has been publishing the Big Mac Index annually since 1986.
