Roger Tullgren receives disability payments due to his heavy-metal addiction. He attends 300 concerts a year.
A Swedish dishwasher's heavy-metal habit has been declared an addiction requiring disability payments.
Roger Tullgren, 42, consulted three psychologists to obtain statements confirming the depth of his heavy-metal dependency, making him eligible for state support.
The heavily tattooed metalhead says his compulsion forced him to attend 300 concerts last year leaving him out of work and on welfare.
Now his part-time income will be supplemented by state benefits.
His boss has agreed to give Mr. Tullgren time off to see shows as long as he makes it up later.
Tullgren is allowed to play metal on the job if it doesn't disturb the customers.
